Jiexi Tian
Associate
Jiexi Tian is an attorney with a relentless drive to go the extra mile for her clients. With a sincere dedication to clients’ well-being, she brings a unique blend of ambition and empathy to her practice. Jiexi’s legal journey has been marked by a commitment to advocacy and service, previously within the realms of family law and employment discrimination, and now making a difference as part of the Sexual Abuse team at Janet, Janet & Suggs.
Prior to joining Janet, Janet & Suggs, Jiexi’s professional focus was on family law, where she handled a diverse array of cases, including divorce, custody disputes, domestic violence matters, and child abuse and neglect issues involving child protective services. Her experience extends beyond family law, having been exposed to a broad spectrum of legal matters while working at different firms. This exposure encompassed personal injury claims, medical malpractice suits, tort cases, employment disputes, and criminal defense.
During law school, Jiexi actively engaged in clinical work, serving as a student attorney and advocating for victims of crimes, individuals struggling with mental health disorders, and those seeking post-conviction relief. Her academic journey includes graduating from UCLA with a major in Psychology before earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
Jiexi is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese, enabling her to effectively serve a diverse clientele. By embracing cultural differences and approaching each case with mindfulness and sensitivity, Jiexi strives to provide legal representation that is not only linguistically accessible but also culturally competent.
Outside of her legal endeavors, Jiexi has a deep love for animals. She volunteers at local shelters and aspires to one day rescue and provide a loving home for stray, abandoned, and abused animals.
